Join us for an invigorating hike from Simsbury to Bloomfield. This free hike – now in its 13th year – will showcase conserved properties that provide trail connectivity linking the two towns through Penwood State Park. And the fall scenery should be gorgeous!

We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the hike’s end point, the Oliver Filley House in LaSalette Park in Bloomfield. From there we will be bused to the start location on the Simsbury Land Trust’s Tanager Hill Preserve. From Tanager Hill we will walk through Penwood State Park to Lake Louise and visit the Pinnacle for a view of the valley before descending into TRLC’s Stout Family Field. After a brief walk along to the road we’ll enter TRLC’s Hawk Hill Farm property which connects to LaSalette Park to complete the journey.

This hike is approx. 5 miles. There are some spots with difficult footing and steep terrain. Wear sturdy shoes or boots. Bring water, a snack, and hiking poles if you have them.
