Location
Pond Meadow comprises two parcels located on either side of Pond Lane in East Granby which are surrounded by residential lots. The larger parcel on the right side of the road is approximately 10 acres and includes a short trail around a pond. The small 1-acre parcel across the street is wooded with no access. This property is located just south of Eastfield Farms, allowing both trails to be easily combined.

Description
The most striking feature of the property is the pond along the road. Small streams run through the property with some areas of swamp. There is a bench near the pond and some flowering apple trees along the path. Much of the property is wooded and the trail can be wet. There have been sightings of great blue herons and ducks at the pond, red shouldered hawks in the trees and bobcat, beavers and other wildlife in the woods. Many songbirds visit in the spring.

History
Extensive work has been done over many years to remove invasive species (Knotweed, multiflora rose and bittersweet) and replace them with a variety of native trees, bushes and plants.
