Location
This 15-acre parcel is located between Granbrook Park and Seymour Elementary School in East Granby. From the left side of the Granbrook Park lot, walk south through the grassy field to the tree line. A path through the woods leads to Salmon Brook and a flat open field at the rear.
Features
The flat 7-acre area near the brook is currently leased to an organic farmer, Nourish My Soul (nourishmysoul.org). A school/farm/nutrition program was developed in a corner of the farm. There is a small outdoor classroom structure with a rain collection system. TRLC is currently raising funds to create a half-mile walking path and bridge to provide access from Seymour School to the farm and Salmon Brook for exciting hands-on educational programs.
